Information Security of Digital Electric Networks

Current situation: With the adoption of the Federal Law "On the Safety of Critical Information Infrastructure of the Russian Federation", the responsibility of the owners and proprietors of power plants for ensuring their information security (IS) as significant objects of critical information infrastructure has increased dramatically. First of all, it is a problem of assessment of potential IS risks arising from the impact of computer attacks on the information technology infrastructure of the power plant, and management of these risks. It seems expedient to develop a number of intelligent IS risk management technologies oriented to the use of EES in the EMS and taking into account their peculiarities as significant objects of the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation.

Project objectives:

- Development of separate models and methods of information security risk management of electric networks.

- Development of complex intellectual technology for information security risk management of electric networks

- Development of algorithmic support for the implementation of intelligent technology of information security risk management of electrical networks.

- Development of a prototype of software complexes for implementation of intellectual technologies of information security risk management of electric networks.

Approaches: It is proposed to use the developments of the IPU RAS in the field of information security, including Omole (see the site omole.ws) and KALKIBER (see the presentation at http://nics.sicpro.org/doc/Poletykin.pptx), as well as the joint development of Group-IB and IPU RAS - Bot-Trek.

Potential customer: PJSC Russian Grids Prospects: creation of software complexes for the implementation of intelligent information security risk management technologies as part of power grid management systems.
